On July 21, 2011 the MARMET Drug Task Force, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion Police Department kicked off the “Feel the Heat Drug Sweep”. This operation concluded a several month drug investigation involving several area drug dealers. This investigation was spearheaded by the MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force and the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Brent Yagers’ Office.
At approximately 11:00 am law enforcement began serving arrest warrants on over 20 persons charged with trafficking in illegal drugs. As of 5:00 pm approximately half of the 20 had been located and arrested.
During these arrests large amounts of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Marijuana and Prescription Pills were seized. Also seized was a substantial amount of U.S. currency and several vehicles. Charges on these suspects range from felonies of the 1st degree to felonies of the 5th degree.
The following subjects were arrested as a result of this operation:
Ricco McGhee for 2 cts. of trafficking in cocaine (34YOA of 134 S. Seffner Street)
Curtis W. Paymon for 2 cts. of trafficking in cocaine (30 YOA of 132 E. George Street)
Rebekka J. Reed for 1 ct. of trafficking in cocaine (25 YOA of 132 E. George Street)
Ricky J. Kensler for 2 cts of trafficking in cocaine (36 YOA of 288 E. Center 1W)
Robert Peters for 2 cts. of trafficking in cocaine (42 YOA of 269 Windsor Street)
Tasha L. Belt for 2 cts. of trafficking in cocaine (29 YOA of 269 Windsor Street)
Tara D. Jacobs for 1 ct. of trafficking in cocaine (24 YOA of 399 Windsor Street)
Cody Bosh for 1 ct. of trafficking in Heroin (31 YOA of 315 S. High Street)
Gregory A. Tanner for 3 cts of trafficking in cocaine (20 YOA of 506 Bimini Drive)
Mathew P. Hutchinson for 1 ct. of theft (28 YOA of 298 Leader Street)
