LEVEL 2 SNOW ADVISORY ISSUED PDF Print E-mail
Written by Major Jeff Cline
Friday, 25 February 2011

At 8:00am on February 25, 2011, Sheriff Tim Bailey issued a level two snow advisory for Marion County. Primary and secondary roadways are extremely hazardous due to snow that is currently falling coupled with high winds.    Motorists should be mindful of heavy snow drifts and temporary whiteout conditions.  Be alert for cars going into ditches and medians.  Sheriff Bailey cautions that if you must drive, use extreme caution and allow yourself extra time.

Marion County is still under a WINTER STORM WARNING until 4pm today.  Snow will taper off this afternoon.  Gusting winds will continue making the snow drift and cause temporary whiteout conditions.
