SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED PDF Print E-mail

This is an update in the investigation of the shooting incident that occurred on 10/28/2013 in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue in Marion. Suspect Joshua A. Bright (AKA: Bill Champ) was arrested a short time ago in Tallahassee, Florida for his involvement in this incident. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office received numerous tips and information concerning this investigation. This information led investigators that Bright had fled Marion and was en route to Florida by bus. Once the correct route was learned the Tallahassee Police Department was informed of this case. Tallahassee officers located Bright at the bus station, where he was taken into custody without incident. Bright was arrested on a nationwide warrant for attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of aggravated robbery. Arrangements will be made to extradite Bright back to Marion.

Additional suspects Danny E. Logan II and Tim C. Persinger were located earlier as a result of this investigation. Marion County Sheriff’s Office Detectives continue to investigate this incident and once completed will be forwarded to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. SHOOTING INVESTIGATION SUSPECT SOUGHT PDF Print E-mail

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate two individuals, Joshua A. Bright and Danny E. Logan II involved in the investigation of a shooting which occurred on 10/28/2013 at 7:18pm in the 500 Block of Euclid Avenue in Marion, Ohio. Timothy C. Persinger was arrested today at his residence and taken to the Multi County Correctional Center however Sheriff’s Office Detectives are attempting to locate the following two individuals related to the shooting investigation;

Joshua A. Bright (AKA: Bill Champ)

Last Known Address: 217 Libby Lane Marion, Ohio 43302

Thirty two year old white male approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and 170lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. Joshua A. Bright has an arrest warrant for Attempted Aggravated Murder a first degree felony, Felonious Assault (Two Counts), a second degree felony, and Aggravated Robbery (Two Counts) a first degree felony.

Danny E. Logan II

 

Last Known Address: 645 Emerson Avenue Marion, Ohio 43302.

Thirty two year old white male approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. Danny E. Logan II has an arrest warrant for Obstructing Official Business, a third degree felony.

Timothy C. Persinger (ARRESTED)

645 Emerson Avenue Marion, Ohio 43302.

Thirty five year old white male approximately 6 feet tall and 280 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. Timothy C. Persinger has been arrested on an arrest warrant for Obstructing Official Business, a third degree felony and taken to the Multi County Correctional Center.

Sheriff Tim Bailey advises these individuals should be considered dangerous and possibly armed and if anyone knows their whereabouts they are asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 740-382-8244 ext. 0. Anyone with information regarding the shooting are asked to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 740-382-8244 ext. 0 or the TIPS line at 740-375-TIPS (8477).

ROBBERY SUSPECT SOUGHT PDF Print E-mail

On 10/28/2013 at approximately 7:18PM a female caller advised of a shooting in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies located the shooting scene along with a male victim with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The victim advised that the suspect wanted to rob him but nothing was reported stolen.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident. The suspect is believed to be from Marion. The suspect was described as a white male, 6’3”-6’4” tall, medium build, wearing a brown/tan Carhart jacket and black bandanna concealing his face. The suspect has a tear drop tattoo under one of his eyes. The suspect fled the area on foot.

Sheriff Bailey cautions the public that this suspect is considered armed and dangerous and not to confront him on their own. Instead, Sheriff Bailey asks that anyone with information concerning this incident or recognizes the description of the suspect to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at (740)382-8244 or anonymously call the Marion Crime Tip Line at (740)387-TIPS.
