At 9:00 pm the Marion County Sheriff's Office upgraded the snow advisory for Marion County to a LEVEL 2 Snow Advisory. Primary and secondary roadways are snow covered and hazardous due to the falling snow coupled with the increase in wind speeds. Crews with the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Marion County Garage are in the process of clearing the roads, however roadways are hazardous. |

On February 26, 2010, at 9:45am the Marion County Sheriff's Office issued a level one snow advisory for Marion County. Primary and secondary roadways are becoming hazardous due to snow presently falling coupled with high winds causing drifting. Crews with the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Marion County Garage are in the process of clearing the roads however roadways are still hazardous. Motorists should be mindful of drifting roads, especially on North/South roads and highways. |

WANTED: LAWRENCE W. REDRICK |

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Lawrence Redrick (AKA: Cheddar). Redrick has an active felony warrant for his arrest out of Marion Common Pleas Court for bond revocation. Redrick pled guilty to one count of possession of crack cocaine and was awaiting sentencing when he failed to comply with his bond restrictions. Redrick is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Lawrence W. Redrick is asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at (740) 382-8244 or the MarionCounty TIPS Line at (740) 375-8477.

IDENTITY OF THEFT SUSPECT UNKNOWN |

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of a purse from the McDonalds restaurant at 1429 Marion-Waldo Road at the Marion Centre Shopping Mall. This theft occurred on September 26, 2009 and enhanced photos from the store video have recently been obtained. Any member of the community that can identify the adult white female in the photographs is asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff's Office at (740) 382-8244 or anonymously contact the Marion TIPS Line at (740) 375-TIPS (8477).
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
White female, 60 to 65 years old, gray or white hair, 5' 06" to 5' 08" tall and weighing approximately 195 to 210 pounds
